This paper is a study of IPO activities in the region of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The study uses original evidence from a dataset of 94 IPOs in the period 2000–2009 on the stock exchanges of Bucharest, Budapest, Bulgaria, Ljubljana, Prague, Vienna and Warsaw. Results are compared with empirical evidence for developed EU capital markets.
